Audiological Hearing Evaluation

There are a number of tests that we perform to evaluate the basic hearing function for a patient: Air Conduction, Bone Conduction, and Speech Audiometry Tests. They provide general information to the degree, type, and amount of impairment on communication function that a patient's hearing loss might cause.

Computer Hearing Aid Analysis

This test is designed to evaluate the exact acoustical operating condition of a hearing aid. It will show any deficiency in the amplified sound from the hearing aid. A computer is used to perform this analysis.

Hearing Aid Evaluation

This is a series of tests that have been developed to assess what type of hearing instrument would be most beneficial for an individual's hearing impairment. Generally, a generic description of the hearing aid's specifications is then discussed with the client, and the availability of a trial period with the recommended hearing instrument follows.

Real Ear/Acoustic Resonance

This computerized imaging test demonstrates the degree to which a patient's hearing loss is being improved (for tonal hearing) when wearing hearing aids. This test also validates the appropriateness of the overall loudness and shape of the amplification that the patient's hearing aid is providing for the given hearing loss.
