Widex is one of the world’s most respected manufacturers of hearing instruments. As a result of the company’s outstanding past performance since 1956, the Widex name is today synonymous with superior technological achievements.

Widex Hearing Aids: History

Widex After the shocking events of Pearl Harbor, young Harold Spar and Henry Meltsner enlisted to serve their country in World War II. While in the navy, they learned what was, at the time, top secret technical skills that woul serve them well later in life. Upon leaving the Navy, the two pooled their resources and began a company in an effort to become the world’s leading supplier of hearing aids and accessories. After becoming involved with two Dutch families in 1956, Widex USA was officially formed.

Widex is known for helping millions of hearing-impaired people of all ages throughout the world.   Widex advanced hearing aids have been featured many times on national television, in newspapers and magazines; and, have been displayed in the Smithsonian Institution.

Widex Hearing Solutions

Widex produces digital hearing aids with wireless capabilities that allow the hearing aids to communicate with each other as well as with devices. Styles available are behind the ear, in the ear, receiver in canal, and completely in the canal.  A pediatric line of hearing aids comes in light pastel colors.

Possibly Widex’s most exciting innovation is the Cleal Hearing Aids. Nature has given us two ears designed to work together. And like two ears, Widex’s Clear hearing aids communicate with each other. Instantly and constantly. Thanks to our wireless technology, Clear hearing aids offer clear, detailed sound so you can experience hearing as close to natural as possible.

Now available in three levels of technology and benefits, Clear hearing aids come in a variety of hearing aid styles including the unique Fusion BTE model which combines the best of Widex technology in a very small and discreet size.

And Clear makes it easier for you – via a uniquely designed range of proprietary DEX accessories – to handle some of the more difficult listening situations such as watching television, listening to music or using your phone. Clear hearing aids also feature the ZEN Program for relaxation and Tinnitus management.
