Widex After the shocking events of Pearl Harbor, young Harold Spar and Henry Meltsner enlisted to serve their country in World War II. While in the navy, they learned what was, at the time, top secret technical skills that woul serve them well later in life. Upon leaving the Navy, the two pooled their resources and began a company in an effort to become the world’s leading supplier of hearing aids and accessories. After becoming involved with two Dutch families in 1956, Widex USA was officially formed.
